Circles of Connection
We could all use a little support right now. Circles of Connection (CofC) is a new initiative supported by CJP’s Center for Combating Antisemitism that will bring a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and peer-led support model to Boston. Let's build our communal capacity to care for and support one another during this time of increasing trauma, stress, polarization, and antisemitism. This fall, CofC will offer a virtual training for peer facilitators interested in leading support circles.
CJP, the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC), the Israeli American Council (IAC), and the Consulate General of Israel to New England are working together on a large-scale community event on Monday, October 7 — the one-year anniversary of the terror attacks in Israel. This event will be open to our entire community and will be a chance to come together to remember, reflect, and hope, as we stand together with Israel. Additional details to follow soon.
We are pausing our Community Impact Grant (CIG) program for FY25 — including our General, Teen, Young Adult, and Campus CIGs — while we review and reimagine the program. We will be in touch later this year to share our evolved approach that aims to make the grant process smoother and easier to access. In the interim, we are committed to maintaining an open-door entry point for projects and organizations that are new or new to CJP and will keep you updated. Please reach out to Annie Knickman Plancher or your relationship manager with any questions or ideas as we continue to adapt this important grant program.

This Community NARCAN Training is a hands-on opportunity to learn about how substance use affects the Jewish community (spoiler: much, much more than you think it does), to become certified in the use and application of NARCAN to reverse a drug overdose, and to encounter Jewish wisdom to inspire us as harm reduction ambassadors. Each participant can choose to receive a NARCAN kit upon completion of the training.
