Summer camp: Where Jewish kids find their people, confidence, and joy
New friendships that feel like coming home. Triumphs at the lake, on stage, on the field, and in the studio. A community where Jewish life is celebrated, shared, and felt in every moment. This is what Jewish summer camp does for your child.
A summer that changes everything
At Jewish overnight camp, kids can redefine and surprise themselves. Cabinmates become family. Shabbat becomes something they can’t wait for. It’s about more than a summer; it’s about finding out who they can be.

Scholarships for Jewish overnight camp
Every Jewish kid should get to experience camp. CJP and our partners offer scholarships so finances don’t stand in the way.
Through CJP’s partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp, One Happy Camper grants provide up to $1,000 for your child’s first camp experience.
To qualify, your child must:
• Be attending a participating Jewish overnight camp for the first time
• Sign up for a minimum session of 12 days*
• Live in CJP’s catchment area
*Campers who previously attended a session of fewer than 12 days and will be attending for 12 days or more the following summer may be eligible for a $700 or $1,000 grant. Campers who have already attended a session of 12 days or more will not be eligible to receive a first-time camper grant in future summers.
Funding criteria:
For camp sessions lasting 12–18 consecutive days:
• First-time camper grant: $700
• Sibling grant: $500*
For camp sessions lasting 19 or more consecutive days:
• First-time camper grant: $1,000
• Sibling grant: $500*
*Siblings of campers who have received a first-time camper grant may be eligible for a $500 grant when they attend camp for the first time for at least 12 consecutive days.
If your camper is attending Camp Micah or Camp Kingswood for the first time, your family may be eligible for a first-time camper incentive grant from CJP. To learn more, please contact your camp directly or email onehappycamper@cjp.org.
Please note that funding for One Happy Camper grants for Summer 2026 has already been distributed. If you have any questions, please reach out to our team at onehappycamper@cjp.org.
Our camp scholarships help turn camp into a summer tradition. CJP offers affordability scholarships for children and teens who live in our catchment area.
Affordability scholarships for partner camps:
CJP provides affordability funding directly to each of our 14 partner camps to support families living within CJP’s catchment area. If your child is attending one of the 14 partner camps, please contact the camp directly to learn more about the financial aid options available for your family.
Affordability scholarships for other camps:
If your child is attending a Jewish overnight camp in the United States that is not one of CJP’s partner camps, you may be eligible for a camping scholarship of $1,500 per camper, with a maximum of $6,000 per family, subject to funding availability.
To qualify for a CJP Affordability Scholarship, your child must:
• Be registered at a Jewish overnight camp in the U.S. that is not one of our 14 partner camps
• Be registered at the camp for a minimum of 12 days
• Be entering grades 1–12 after camp
• Live in CJP’s catchment area
• Have a household Adjusted Gross Income reported on last year’s IRS Form 1040 not exceeding $250,000
The scholarship funding for this year has already been distributed, and we are no longer accepting applications for the 2026 camping season. If you have any questions, please contact our team at campership@cjp.org.
