Rabbi Marc Baker
President and CEO
As President and CEO of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston (CJP), Marc leads the organization in its mission to inspire Jewish life and ignite positive change in Greater Boston, in Israel, and across the globe. He champions CJP’s efforts to build partnerships, develop resources, mobilize volunteers, and put innovative philanthropy into practice. Marc regularly writes, speaks, and teaches about leadership, community, and civic life, bringing the voice of Jewish tradition to contemporary issues. Marc graduated from Yale University in 1997 with a bachelor of arts in religious studies and received his master’s degree in Jewish education from The Hebrew University in 2002. Before coming to CJP, Marc served as head of school at Gann Academy in Waltham. Born in Lynnfield, Marc currently resides in Brookline with his wife, Jill, and they have four children.
Aron Ain
Chair, Board of Directors
As CJP’s Board Chair, Aron is a key strategic thought partner to the CEO. He is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of CJP's Board and he serves as spokesperson for the Board across the community. Aron also currently serves as Board Chair at UKG after serving as its CEO for 17 years prior to his retirement from the firm in 2022. UKG is a $5B+ global enterprise software company that employs 15,000+ staff around the world. Currently Aron serves as an operating partner for the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman. Aron has been a leader in various Jewish organizations including CJP, Jewish Family Service of Metrowest, The Rashi School, and The American Technion Society.
Aron is an active CJP participant serving as a board member and on various CJP committees. In 2018 Aron was a co-chair of the CJP President Search Committee and he has also served as the Annual Campaign Chair. He is a graduate (2005) and past co-chair (2014) of CJP’s Cynthia and Leon Shulman Acharai Leadership Program, and also served on the CJP Strategic Planning Committee. In addition, Aron is a current trustee of his alma mater Hamilton College and at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Aron and his wife, Susan, have two children and five grandchildren.

Matthew Sidman is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Three Bays Capital. With a background in investment management and finance, he has held leadership roles at top firms and brings strategic financial expertise to his work with CJP, including serving on key committees and supporting major philanthropic initiatives.
Michelle Black
Annual Campaign Chair
Michelle Black is a nonprofit leader and strategic advisor focused on strengthening Jewish community organizations. A co-founder of TribeTalk and former board chair at Gann Academy, she brings expertise in leadership development, governance, and community engagement through her work across education and nonprofit institutions.
