Welcome to Greater Boston’s Jewish community

Moving is a lot. Finding community shouldn’t be. Greater Boston has a thriving Jewish community that welcomes you whatever your connection to Judaism looks like.

What is CJP?

Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) is Greater Boston’s Jewish Federation. That means we support, convene, and connect everything that makes Jewish life possible here: social services, learning opportunities, the fight against antisemitism, and relationships with Jewish communities in Israel and around the world.

Looking after one another is a core Jewish value, and it’s at the heart of everything we do. CJP leads the work of building a Jewish future in Greater Boston where everyone can belong.

How your neighbors find Jewish community

“Lehrhaus is an inviting space for Jews of all kinds and people from other faith backgrounds. It has a great vibe and combines learning with laughter. As an intermarriage and inclusion specialist, it earns an A+ from me!”

“Our temple, Temple Isaiah in Lexington, has an amazing program for families with young children. We went to Tot Shabbat and Shabbat Club for years, and it was a great way to get to know other families and see ones we already knew.”

Robyn Snyder

“I love J-LOFT: Jewish Learning Opportunities for Teens because it gives my teenagers a meaningful community where they can make lifelong connections with other Jewish teens while exploring their identity and values.”

A strong, confident stand against antisemitism

CJP’s Center for Combating Antisemitism (CCA) safeguards our community’s ability to live safely and joyously as Jews. We confront antisemitism in Greater Boston head-on: convening leaders, mobilizing resources, and demanding accountability.
