Now recruiting: Jewish local advocacy cohort
Recruiting now through Monday, September 22
After a successful pilot, Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), in partnership with CJP’s Center for Combatting Antisemitism (CCA), is now recruiting for a second Jewish Local Advocacy and Organizing Cohort! This cohort of 12–15 people is designed for local community members to build the skills and strategies needed to take meaningful action against antisemitism. Running from January–June 2026, the program will provide training and support for those looking to strengthen their leadership and impact in their local municipalities and towns through skills-based organizing and advocacy training. If you or someone you know is a strong candidate (i.e. your congregation’s antisemitism task force chairs/co-chairs), please email CCA-info@cjp.org to learn more!
Friday, September 26–Tuesday, October 21 | 307 Dorchester Avenue, Boston
The Nova Exhibition sets out to recreate a festival dedicated to peace and love that was tragically cut short by the October 7 terror attacks. The exhibition empowers visitors to responsibly explore and bear witness to the tragic events of that fateful day and their terrible aftermath. To help ensure that our Greater Boston community never forgets the atrocities of October 7, we encourage you to share this information with your congregants, community, local allies, and anyone else you know who may be interested in attending.
Local Jewish overnight camps are holding prospective camper events and tours throughout the fall. We have plenty of resources to make it easy to learn more about camps, between CJP's Jewish Camping Initiative and JewishBoston's resource page. Help us connect more happy campers from Greater Boston!
Help our community avoid scheduling conflicts by using the Community Calendar on JewishBoston.com. When planning events, check the calendar for other activities, post your public events, and add private events as saved drafts. For assistance, please email support@jewishboston.com.
Our partners at Leading Edge are offering virtual workshops for board members of all types to build skills and connections to level up their board service. Each workshop will offer differentiated content, expert guidance, and actionable insights to help expand impact.
Resources for nonprofits from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office
The Massachusetts Attorney General’s office has a great new resource page that can help nonprofits as they navigate a complex and changing environment. The page has a number of helpful policy documents, guides, and bulletins. Of particular note is their handbook for charity boards and their updates on immigration enforcement and DEI initiatives for employers.
They also host an ongoing series of webinars that are very clear with helpful information. If you missed last week’s, you can find the recording online.
CJP works with you to support our shared goal of building a strong and vibrant community. Take advantage of our essential services (and other resources!) that will help your organization thrive.
