Jewish day school Tuition Transparency Tool pilot
Supporting Greater Boston Jewish day schools in giving families clearer insight into tuition and financial aid.
Purpose and eligibility
Jewish day schools in Greater Boston can participate in this pilot to help families better understand tuition and financial aid. While tuition can seem high at first glance, many schools offer substantial financial aid that significantly reduces the cost of enrollment.
Many families underestimate the aid they may qualify for and never explore day school options. Often, this is because getting accurate information requires multiple conversations and applications.
The Tuition Transparency Tool helps reduce this barrier by providing families with an early estimate of tuition and financial aid through an online calculator.
Over the past three years, several Jewish day schools received grants to build tuition transparency tools for their websites. These calculator tools help families better understand potential tuition and financial aid scenarios.
The tools can be accessed at dayschoolcost.com.
In the 2026–2027 school year, CJP will continue this pilot and offer additional grant opportunities to build tuition transparency tools.
Applicants must be Jewish day schools within CJP’s catchment area.
Tuition Transparency Tool pilot process
Based on where CJP believes the tool can provide the greatest benefit, up to two schools will be selected in FY27. If interested, CJP will support building a tuition transparency tool for the school’s website.
