Fall “Jewish at Work” Stipends
Provided by CJP’s Center for Combating Antisemitism (CCA)
Overview
Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP)’s Center for Combating Antisemitism (CCA) is excited to invite applications for a limited number of stipends (up to $1,000) for Jewish Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), affinity groups, and Jewish employee peer groups within Greater Boston workplaces. These will be in the form of financial reimbursements for the ERGs or affinity group.
Funding is designed to help groups expand membership, host programs and events, and strengthen networks through quick, accessible support.
Research shows that connecting Jewish employees fosters belonging, visibility, and safety in the workplace- and helps prevent antisemitism.

FAQs:
Who can apply? We welcome applications from ERGs, affinity groups, or employee groups within corporations, nonprofits, and businesses with a local presence in the Greater Boston area within the region CJP serves.
Group leaders may apply on behalf of their group with organizational permission. We ask that you confirm with someone internally (i.e. your HR or finance department) before applying in the event that CJP needs to contact them.
Who should fill out the application?Applicants should be leaders (chairs/co-chairs) of Jewish ERGs and peer led groups, or HR/DEIB leaders on behalf of Jewish ERGS, from companies or organizations located in Boston or surrounding communities that CJP serves.
What can the stipend be used for?To support our goal of supporting and empowering our community where they live and work, CCA is supporting Jewish ERGs, affinity groups and other Jewish employee peer networking groups with funding for a wide array of programmatic activities, including but not limited to:
- Jewish holiday celebrations
- Membership outreach efforts
- Networking events
- Cross-ERG collaboration to build allyship
- Group participation in community events
Activities must take place between July 1, 2025- June 30, 2026.
*Information on future opportunities will be forthcoming
Note: Through CCA’s multi-year partnership with Project Shema, CCA is already able to offset the costs for antisemitism education training for ERGs and corporate leaders separately. Please be in touch by emailing CCA-info@cjp.org if this is of interest.
How much is the stipend?Limited one-time reimbursements are available for up to $1,000.
How are stipends distributed?Approved applicants will be able to submit invoices made payable to CJP (invoices must include name of organization, email, address, phone number, and vendor). The stipends will be in the form of a reimbursement to the ERG, affinity group, or corporation. In some cases, CJP may be able to pay vendors directly.
Alternatively, if your company has a charitable organization and would prefer to be paid in the form of a grant, applicants can fill out CJP’s Financial Vetting Form for Grantees and Vendors.
If our group received an ERG microgrant from CJP last year (spring 2025), are we eligible for a Jewish at Work Stipend?Yes.
What is CJP?CJP (Combined Jewish Philanthropies) is Boston’s Jewish Federation. Our mission is to inspire and mobilize the diverse Greater Boston Jewish community to engage in building communities of learning and action that strengthen Jewish life and improve the world.
Since its founding in 1895, CJP has been focused on the future and the vitality of this community. We’re creating and nurturing programs and initiatives that contribute to the health and vibrancy of our People, and we’re supporting incredible partners who help shape and fortify our community for generations to come. From Boston to Israel and across the globe — and with every volunteer, every leader, every partner, every dollar, every donor, every day — we’re working together to build something greater than ourselves, turning individual acts of kindness into collective action that strengthens Jewish life and makes the world a better place for all.
What is CJP’s CCA?CCA’s vision is one where the Greater Boston Jewish community has clear and effective resources, tools, and capabilities that meet the moment and foster actions that push back against antisemitism, leaving members of the community feeling empowered and supported. Learn more about our work here.
As part of CCA’s work, we launched the first ever Boston-based workplace strategy to address antisemitism focused on bringing tools and resources to Boston’s workplaces and corporations.
By building and leveraging relationships with civic leaders — including business and nonprofit leaders — CJP’s CCA is proud to be a hub for this work. We also partner with organizations like Project Shema to bring educational training to civic spaces so that our society can better understand and address antisemitism.
